if your shifting at 6000 rpm's, it would be approx 1-2@36, 2-3@67, and 3-4@110 with the 28 inch tire and 4.56's.

with a 30 inch tire your looking at approx 1-2@39, 2-3@72, and 3-4@117.

i got my info from f-body.org/gears using ratios of the 4l60e at 3.06, 1.63, 1.0, .67

Its still going to be the same, 3rd is 1:1.

Whats done to your truck?

What converter? Locking the converter wide open or no?

What rpm do you spin it to?

6800rpm would be around 120 with 28s. You'll need quite a bit of power to get the truck to trap over 120. So Im sure you'll be fine.

If I remember right...........I was running a 4.56 with a Goodyear Slick that was stamped 29x10 (actually measures closer to 28"). I went through the traps at 6800 with the converter locked in 3rd gear at 126 mph.

With that same tire but with 4.10's, threw the traps at 126 mph, motor was at 6600 rpm with the converter unlocked.

Just giving you some things to reference.
