With a lot of work it can, but you will basically have to redo the entire front end.
I havent had an issues with mine, depsite the fact of having 35" tires for about 60k miles. Although I dont launch in 4wd since I dont see much benefit and it kills the top end. (Manual)

I have had two different Supercharged 4WD trucks and have never had any problems with the front diff or the T-case.
first one was a 2001 Sububan 4WD with an Autotrac t-case and its front drive shaft would turn all the time as mentioned above even in 2WD, I had a 100,000 miles on it when I sold it it was supercharged for 95,000 of those mile and has had many 4WD launches.
my current Truck a 2005 GMC Sierra has 60,000 miles on it and has been supercharged since it had 750 miles on it and has seen on average of one 4WD launch every day for the last 5 years and has had no problems and BTW the front drive shaft does not turn on this one when in 2WD and if you crawl under the truck in 2WD you can easly turn the front drive shaft unlike the 2001 Suburban.

Yeah...sounds like bad parts from whats happening here...
A good quality set of replacement parts is what you need OP
A Good drivetrain shop will hook you up with something strong...or atleast diagnose the issue for you.

this got me thinking so i did a little bit of research this is what i have found
chevy offered the 2500 avalanche, according to co-part the front diff is the same as that of the 2500 and 3500 trucks. I would assume that gm would not make two seperate frames for the avalanche?? if not then these other diffs should work? i would assume that the ring gears should be larger in these?
I think there are some options here i have not actually bolted any of these parts in or dome comparisons but figuered i would share what i found.

i still feel if the ring gears are larger like they should be, they should be able to handle more power. The 2500s do not have a larger hood other than the 2500hd which is mostly for looks except the duramax which is needed for the engine height. If it will not bolt in I would think a plasma and a welder and it could be caressed in. I was merely trying to think about a way to have reliable high horsepower planted through awd/4wd street trucks.

I personally am not looking to chop my Escalade up to the point of a solid axle.
