like the title says, ive got an 08 silverado crew 2wd with the 5.3, and im looking for info on this tranny swap. my 4l60 is doing fine, but i'd really like to have the convenience of 2 extra gears and the reliability of the 6l80. i know where a wrecked 2010 silverado is that had the 5.3/6l80 combo, so what all do i need from it, and how hard is it going to be to make it all work?

well, its a 4wd. how much harder does that make it?

 

Im dealing with the same issue. My trans is an awd unit from a Denali, with the transfer case still attached. Does anyone have any info on how to do this?
