I don't notice any difference in my stockers and my 20's. although.......I have some pretty light centerlines and a slightly shorter tire. 275/45/20. I think the biggest problem folks face when installing 20's is the huge tires they put with them. a 275/55 is a 32" tire and a 285/50 is a 31.5" tire. both of these are larger than the factory 30" tire and the extra diameter is what they feel.

I did notice a difference when I went from the 275/55 to the 275/45. a little more grunt out of the hole.

No matter how much they cost me in acceleration I wouldn't trade my 20's any day of the week. Besides these are TRUCKS.....not dragsters.

i can feel a sotp diff in my twenties. i went with centerlines as well and my tires are lighter and shorter than what i was previously running on the stock wheel. my tires are wider so it keeps me planted on the two to one downshift but at zero to wot i still burn them over. 3200 stall is to thank for that. all in all, i think my combo is about 10 pounds or so lighter per wheel than my stockers with my 31" tall tires. maybe more.

Its not so much the total weight of the wheel. A lighter wheels that has a greater mass further from the center line of the axle will require more torque to get moving and more brakes to stop.
