Default 2005 tahoe drive shaft issues

Like stated. Having issues installing /removing driveshaft from rear end yoke. I've got a 2wd tahoe with a 4.8l, 4l60e performabuilt level 2 trans and a 8.6 rear end. I've got a calmax 3/3 lowering kit. I've blown transmission 6 times in a year and half. Last time removing the trans after blowing I faught removing driveshaft. After got neNew trans its impossible to install or remove driveshaft w/o removing cap and c clip on cap. Even with a prybar. No room to slide into trans any further. Is it a possible rear end movement issue? Any thoughts. Not sure what to do besides shorten my driveshaft, but not sure y I need to. Any thoughts guys?

I believe it is factory as I've never changed it but I did not build whole truck. The build on truck made no mention of aftermarket shaft. Not sure how to tell. Its painted and u can't read any stickers.

Sounds like you need to have the driveline shortened because of your drop.

But if you just need a tip for removing the shaft, it's easy. Jack the vehicle up as high as you can, and support the frame with jack stands. The rear will droop, and the driveline yoke will pull out of your trans a little ways. Now it will be easy to remove the driveline.

I've removed the driveshaft 6 times with minimal issues coming out. Now its impossible to remove without removing caps first for clearance. What has changed? Bushing wear? Axle wrap? Not sure

How much slip should there be at the trans output shaft typically?

Sounds like you may have twisted the yoke. I'd start by checking that if you can get the shaft out.

The yoke where it slides in the transmission. I twisted the yoke on my Mustang and didn't know it till I had to pull the trans. I had to beat the yoke up the output shaft far enough to get the rear of the driveshaft to fall down. Once I got it out, looked at the splines in the yoke and they were twisted and binding up.
