Default 2002 scsb bad trans, will 1996 4l60e fit

my second gear disengages when i accelerate in that gear only. my uncle says he has a good trans he pulled from his 1996 silverado when it was wrecked. my question is will it fit? i can't find a clear answer searching the net.

any takers? what should i look for on the trans to know if it will fit. i don't have mine pulled out yet to compair and its a long drive to where this trans is stored at.

The short answer is NO it won't fit correctly.
