Billy, what I believe he's saying is that you could always slap the 4WD case back in there without the front shaft just for dyno purposes. And yes it is highly dangerous to the AWD case to run it without the front shaft in place. There have been quite a few that have pulled the shaft on the dyno, made a pull, re-installed it and been OK, you just can not drive it around this way or it will toast it.

Well I finished it all up today and wow, what a blast it is to drive this thing now. Here's a couple pictures. Also did the HD front end. Need a bowtie now.

alright got a question for you. i am just bout ready to do this same swap to awd drive just got done goin threw the transfer case and swapin the oil pump clip so i am almost ready. my question is do u have any tq bindin issues. cuz i got my 4x4 and it was stuck n 4 high so the kid i got it from just took the front shaft out and had been drivin it like that. well i got it just 2 do the swap 2 awd drive but ive noticed the front diff is lock and n parkin lots turnin it seems 2 bind up and thats with out a front shaft so let me know what u think. thanks o btw sick truck almost a white version of mine.lol i like ur style.haha
