2001 1500hd 14 bolt 8 lug to 6 lug

2001 1500hd 14 bolt 8 lug to 6 lug
I've got a junk 2wd 1500hd with the 8 lug 14 bolt SF. Are the 6 lug axles out of a newer axn truck direct replacements? I know the spring perches should be the same width just an inch higher.
