2/4 drop
#2
i say a spring up front is good to 3". any lower and its better to go with spindles or control arms. on your truck i would just do a 2" drop spring up front and a shackle hanger kit on the back. there shouldnt be any issues towing with a mild drop but if you plan on heavy loads a helper bag will help.

I have a 2/4 on mine now and tow a landscape trailer and have no problems. I'm actually dropping it another 3'' in the rear and putting airbag helpers so hopefully it'll still tow ok. You'll be fine with the 2/4 drop.

What are you looking for, handling or a factory like ride?
For handling, can't beat a hotchkis from what I hear. They use coils up front and leafs in the rear. Like mentioned above, the ride will be a little stiffer, but the handling is much improved.
For a factory like ride, you want to keep you stock springs. So for the rear you will need shackles and hangers. For the front, you could look at Mcgaughy's spindles or DJM's control arms. Even though these kits aren't made for better handling like the Hotchkis, they will help since the center of gravity on the truck is lowered.
