Default 17" to 18" wheels, now what tires?

Hey guys,

Not sure what section to post this in, but if its the wrong one please move it. Anyways, I have an '06 2wd ecsb silverado currently on the stock steel 17" wheels. I just bought some 18" wheels, but I'm not exactly sure what size tire to go with. According to the tire calculator a 265/60/18 would be the exact overall diameter as I have now, but I have seen guys running 265/65/18. My worry is if I go with 60's that the tires will look too short on my truck seeing as its at the stock ride height. If I go with 65's, will it help get rid of some of the fender gap but my speedo will be slightly off, correct? I guess I need to ask, which would you guys run? Is the difference in the sizes so small I wouldn't notice? Thanks in advance.

Get the size you want and then have the pcm recalibrated for the tire size.
