I was thinking about getting some "real wheels" made, in 16" diameter for track use. However, I want to use the maximum backspacing available to tuck the widest slicks I can get. Paul from real wheels said the inside diameter of their wheels are 15.1". What is the most backspacing I could use on it, without any clearance issues with calipers, etc?
I want to run a 16X10, with possibly a 7" BS, or a 16x9 with a 6" BS, preferably a 16x10.
Any suggestions?

Measure the distance from center of the hub to the outside of the caliper, that will give you the radius measurement, double it for the inside minimum diameter rim size. On a 15.1" inside diameter rim the radius can't be any more than 7.55" or you'll run into caliper clearance issues. If the raduis is less than this you can run any backspacing you want as long as you don't run into the leafspring

I did the measurements, its 7.25" from center of hub, to edge of caliper. However, with a 7" BS I would hit the brake line bolt, which is .75" sticking out past the caliper. So im pretty sure with a 16x9 6"BS, I will be able to fit it on there.
