Default 14 bolt with disks (drums easier for 2006?)...

What year and what application is the most coveted for the least amount of headaches for a transplant into, say, a 2006 Silverado C1500 2WD? I have been thinking about rear disks but could be talked out of them. I have drums now and they are not giving me any problems.

Thanks
Bill

Thanks! ... but geez... how does one locate one? Hell, looks like damn near everything 9.5" (whole axle assembly) is discontinued at GM, no? And even though my wife works for a dealership I am not ABOUT to try and piece one together. Well, if anybody knows about one used... lemme know

Thanks,
Bill
