DO NOT do a mini spool. I would go with either, neither one is going to have a negative side effect. Some will say your mileage will go down with 4.10 but i disagree, if it does it is hardly noticable. As for the mini spool, you will hate driving it on the street, you will crash in the rain going around a somewhat sharp corner, your tires will go away quick, and it will probably break because they use the stock diff case and there is too much torque on it on pavement. I would do an eaton lsd or a tru trac. Almost everyone on here that has used them loves them. Good luck and its good to ask before you spend the money!

a spool and mini spool are two different things, a full spool replaces the whole diff case and the axles slide into that, a mini spool just replaces the diff gears and still uses the stock case. And yes i have seen a few "newbs" break mini spools, i also have an f150 with 14" of lift and 42" tires. I go to quite a few off road events and have seen people who are trying to save money put mini spools in because they are only 100 bucks, and the diff case literally explodes the first time you get good traction. And it will say "for offroad dirt use only, not intended for asphault" on most you look at if you read the fine print. But hey if you have ran them then run it and let us know!
