08 silverado pinion gears

Default 08 silverado pinion gears

i have a 08 silverado 4.8l 4x4 i have got a little help as far as suggestions for pinion gears and such this one guy told me to get 4.56 but i had a couple questions do these gears make u have worse fuel mileage and also will they mess up my ability to go mudding as much and just how much better will this make my truck
what are all the pros and cons of them thanks and i look for ward to hearing back

gear size is directly proportional to tire size. what are the specs on the tires you are running? also for a 4x4 truck and off roading steeper gears are good for that low end grunt that you need but they will hurt ur mileage a little on the highway

i have 33 in tires at the moment i want to be fast and strong in the mud
