After removing everything for a frame repaint i found my shock cross members are starting to get holes. Instead of all the work replacing them I’m looking to just 4 link it instead. This is going to be a 6.0/t56 truck shooting for about 500hp to the wheels with out power adders. Shooting for a mostly street/some track. So I’m looking for some input on a 4 link set up and curious what everyone else is running and input.
IDK what kind of fab skill you have, ridetech makes a nice kit that bolts on. There is a member here that used it and posted it in his build but I don't remember who that was

I’m in New England where they pave the roads with salt and calcium in the winters. I’ve never driven it in the winter but the **** gets in the open end of the tubes and they don’t last long after that. I can weld but just looking for a good “kit” or some advice on what to look for/avoid.
As far as a bolt on solution goes, I would agree that the Ridetech kit is one of the nicest if not the nicest out there. I've built two revisions of a 4 link for my truck, and would be happy to give you some input if your'e looking to build one yourself.
I agree with these guys, Ridetech is the way to go for a bolt on system.
if you want to go fast, suspension is the most important thing IMO. You need a good set up to hook up and go straight but to be safe as well. I use to hear about a local suspension guy the homies would talk about and they would say, "he does good work!! And when things break he fixes them for free." WTF!! Suspension shouldn't break!!
And the more power you have and want to go fast the more important suspension geometry gets. I had a friend that's a mechanic and he had a 94 Silverado with some motor and transmission work. He wanted it on air ride so I built him a nice and simple set up
we added shocks, fuel cell, bed and what not later on.
It rode nice, got crazy lift and when he smashed the gas it moved. Later on I did another Silverado with similar engine and trans mods but this guy wanted to use a parallel 4 link that he already had
I made the 6 link and watts link and the truck rode awesome. But when the blue truck would mash the gas it would get a 2 and even 3rd gear chirp from the tires. Mr. Black truck would get upset because his didn't do that.
It was because his had better geometry and he was able to get that power to the ground instead of spinning the tires. Those truck only had a modified 350ci. not 500+hp.
Most kits that are set up for racing will have multiple holes for adjustment and tuning like this,
But this type of work also requires a different skill set to set up and install properly. So it will come down to what you have available around you and how much you want to invest in your truck. But like I've told many people that come to me and say my prices where too high. "Its going to cost more for me to redo someone else's work later". They did and it would cost not only about 30% more to clean up the previous work but what they had spent with the other person too.
Twisted metal works has a kit that i was looking at but i can’t find any reviews on it anywhere. I can weld and turn bolts so either is fine. Weld in would be preferred method for extra support. I just don’t have the knowledge to “build” a kit.
They use that same crap on the roads down here around DC. It's like your vehicle and hard earned cash melt away. I remember replacing a idler arm on my truck once and days later it looks like the rest of the 17 year old truck.

JSM suspension is another option for 4 links, can be seen in the link above. You might have to email them to see if they still offer it, as it was listed on their website but I no longer see it. I was about to pull the trigger on the JSM piece but Ridetech released their set up and I went that direction.
