Your right about Baer having the conversion kit. Just briefly went over it a few days ago. Though I didn't get a price nor exactly how it is done. I'm very curious about how they incorporated the parking brake cable into their system.
If the price is reasonable and the parking brake assembly works great with all parts included with the kit, then I would definately be interested.
Can you get me in contact with Jonmalibuss?

I called Baer 4 weeks ago when I bought my 06 VMax and was told, "No, we do not make a disc brake conversion kit". So, I sold my Alumasports.

But, but, but, BAER said... "NO".
Maybe it was that I couldn't adapt the Alumasport kit...? Dunno

Thanks for trying to warn me. I'll prolly buy another kit this summer if it works.

Unhappy

Ok, it seems as though Baer brakes has nothing to offer for the 05'-up Silverados with drum brakes. I find this odd as they have a part # for the rear for 05' Silverados with drum brakes in their applications guide.
What are others doing????
Surely everyone is not going to stay with rear drum brakes on their 05' & up Silverados for now on.
Where are others getting these kits or who makes a kit???

Those links don't allow me to look at anything.
Baer seems to not be offering anything. I'm sure they have something for the front, but that will just make the truck nose dive hard.
Does someone else make kits?

Angry

Well......... here's an update on my brake issues.
Munday Chevrolet replaced my brake booster, turned both front rotors, and turned both rear drums.
I've been driving it for 5 days now. The problem is coming back.
Starting to feel pulsations upon braking. Braking at highway speeds gives a vibration.
Looks as though I'm back at square one again. This will be my sixth time coming back for the same braking problem.
Any suggestions???

Jim

Yup. Not that you want to go through that.
