I broke my u joint and damaged my drive shaft so I figured I would get a stronger one. I I called a few drive shaft companies they recommend a carbon fiber shaft. Trying to see what some of you guys are running and have you had any problems? My truck is a 2000 rcsb and makes alil over 800 on gas and weighs about 3800lbs

stock 2 piece steel.

With that power, you need to get a 5" aluminum or do a steel shaft.

I had a 3.5 inch steel one now but my transmission guy recommend a stronger one, mainly due to the length and rpm

3.5" steel, made by driveshaft sepcialist in Dallas. Its short though since im 4wd at 45" or so. I had a 5" one on my lifted extended cab, and it was around 70"

Mine is 4" steel. If I ever sack up or get to the point where it matters I'm sure a lighter one could save some weight for me.
