Weren't you talking about going to an NNBS intake on one of your other threads? Going from an older truck intake to an NNBS will help you rev higher so your top end will be better like George says.

Most members are not driving borderline racetrucks. They need to pull down double duty 95% street and 5% track. 2500-2700 highway rpm doesnt bother me at all but most dont want to listen to the noise or pay at the pump. Once you pass 1900 rpm highway your economy goes to ****.

Ive never had a race truck

As for that 1900 rpm ill side to disagree....my crewcab gets better mpg with 488s then it did with 342s...1600 vs 2200
All depends on entire setup

Just to clarify all mine have been daily drivers @ 70-79 mph driving all day locally. I'm not a fan of over 2400 with 2100-2300 being the sweet spot for me considering gas mileage and minimal wear. If that's not the case much more could be easily tolerable for some. Go to Wallace Racing - Automotive Calculators for a very useful calculator!
