just dont cut/drill holes in the back of the bucket , so figure out how it sits in the tank and only drill holes in the bottom and front.it will keep the gas in the bucket longer when you hit the gas hard instead of it bleeding out the back of the bucket.

The black rubber deal is a 1 way flapper valve that only lets fuel into the bucket when the level outside is higher than the inside. If you're going to cut/drill the bucket, then it probably doesn't matter what you do with it.

True.. thats a good design.. just wish it would work with aftermarket pumps.

my parts have came in and I'm still not understanding why you have to drill a 1" hole, and does it matter where the hole is at?

I did not cut or drill any holes in my bucket for the walbro. It worked fine for years.
