Default Under bed fuel cell?

Hey guys, I have a 2005 gmc reg cab short bed with the spare tire removed due to a roll pan. My trucks weighs in around 4200 pounds with pretty close to a 60/40 split in weight distribution. I'm looking to improve my 60' at the track and got to thinking king about removing the stock tank and putting a fuel cell where the spare used to reside. My current fuel system is adequate for my engine. How hard and expensive is it to do this swap while remaining as oem as possible? Would like to reuse the stock fuel pump and sender bucket. Is it as simple as extending the lines and wiring, or am I under thinking it?

PM DBRODS, he makes a very nice fuel cell that mounts where you are wanting it and you are able to use your factory pump/bucket assembly. I believe it is somewhere in the 20 gallon size range as well.

These are the only pictures I have access to at the moment. But this is a DBRods built cell using the stock pump and sending unit. It's sumped and divided aswell. Very nice piece and very glad I went with Jon to build it opposed to a off the shelf unit.

I built mine into the inside of the bed side. I use my truck for hauling the lawnmower and bikes around and didnt want to deal with dirt, mud, debris getting down into the releif cut into the bed floor for the filler.
