TBSS intake

What all is needed to swap a TBSS complete intake to a 06 5.3?

Search up on it, lots of information floating around.

The jist is the intake itself, custom fuel rail or make the TBSS fuel rail work on your truck. You'll need a throttle body adapter plate to make your 3 bolt throttle body work on the 4 bolt intake manifold.

IF your truck is flex fuel now,

A TB adapter or an XLink is all that is needed along with a tune.

MAP harness extension is preferred to keep you from having to pull the harness over the intake.

It’s stupid simple.

well I just learned a Tune is not 100% needed unless you swap the injectors. You will however need an X-Link if you plan on goin to the 87-90MM TB. Or you can keep your stock TB and buy an adaptor plate as stated above. Now your tune will not be %100 spot on but it will still run good. As for the fuel rails you shouldn't need anything special as long as you keep the TBSS fuel rails. Your fuel system should be a returnless style. You will have to extend MAP sensor harness some also stated above. I may have over looked something so If you have any other questions just let me know. Good luck
