Default Returnless Fuel Setup

Trying to gather all my parts to start a turbo build and one thing I've having a hard time deciding on is the fuel pump. Already have a set of 1000cc injectors, and really just wanting to keep the stock "return less" system. HP goals is to make 600whp and probably eventually go more once it's all said and done. This will all be done on 91 pump gas and meth if need be. Considering that's the highest octane we have around here.

I've seen people using the walbro 255 but I'm just not sure if it'll support my needs as of right now. But I've seen people going to the walbro 400 or 450, some say it will over power the FPR some haven't had any problems with it. Or just go with and inline pump such as, areomotive or Magna fuel 500 or 750 and be done. This is my first fuel system build at all so I really am no expert in this field. I've looked around and have found some people saying they've had success with a return less systems but don't go on to state what their system consist of.
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks - Kyle

A walbro 255 would get you close (about 540rwhp), and a walbro400 would get you about 800rwhp, and those injectors (assuming they are rated 1000cc@4bar) would get you about 900rwhp. This is assuming you run 15psi of boost. At 20psi the injectors are good for about 860rwhp. Either way you are going to be pump limited.

At much more than the 255 would support you want to be thinking about a return system anyway.

What's your opinion on if I was to run dual 255s in tank on a Hobbs switch, would this over power the stock FPR?

At idle if both pumps are on then probably, but at 5psi+ when you need the second pump then probably not.

Found out Lonnies Performance makes a dual pumper setup for these truck 04-08, thinking of going this route

Yea, over priced in my opinion but it would certainly work well. Same thing as described above.

Is there anything I can do to get my FPR to work or so you know if the Lonnies kit comes with a new one? I know you know quiet a bit about fuel system, that is why I am pestering you so much. Lol. Or switching to a return style would pretty much just consist of getting some 03 rails and running a new feed line to the bulk and and utilize the stock for line for a return? Also probably a fuel pressure regulator somewhere by the rail. Kind of what I got from scanning your return style conversion thread.

Dont resist the return system. Put an aftermarket regulator on the return side. The stock 99-03 regulator can't regulate high flow, and restricts flow to the rails based on its design.

I dont know of anything you can do to the stock FPR to make it flow more. May as well build a real fuel system at some point!

So if I was going to switch to a return style setup to support my needs, what fuel rails do you guys suggest going with, I know stock rails from an 03 would work but only reason I ask is because I can get a stock rail for about $125 new, so didn't j ow if there were any direct fit aftermarket options that would work better
