Need help with final fuel pump suggestions please
#1
So now that there are several places to buy the fuel pump set ups from, I was just curious why there isnt more information on who's using what here?
I am looking to pull the plug on 1 but dont know what to do and would appreciate some help.
Truck will be turbo and i am shooting for 1000hp
I know Aeromotive, Ricks Tanks, and Chris are a few that are now selling the pump set ups. But I dont know which route is best for the buck??? I'm not into making 1 myself I want it done right.
Anyone care to share their thoughts I'd be grateful

to get more of the discussion going....
what year truck?
intended use?
fuel type?
i think chris is the only one making a legit drop in (there are also a few others ive seen around), ricks i think deletes the charcoal and evap system may not be an issue but fyi - not aware of what aeromotive is offering.
alot more is needed than just a drop in bucket for 1k hp
There's plenty of ways to get there, are you looking to do intank pumps? would say at minimum 2x 450s to get there on pumpgas, on e85 you wouldnt have much headroom. wiring will need to be upgraded. for 1000hp im not sure i would try it on stock 3/8 line. need return system with aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, aftermarket rails most likely.
do you want them both just to run at a static pressure full time? or running a single one with the second on a hobbs switch, etc. - this is part of intended use, someone doing track only wont care about pumps wide open for a few minutes, but a street truck you may not want/need both pumps for normal driving 90% of the time.
for mine, i left the factory flex fuel system in place on the fpcm, functions 100% as stock (and also added flex fuel sensor). I sumped the tank and am running a magnafuel 4303 that the factory system wye's into. second pump comes on with hobbs switch at 3psi

Very good points I appreciate you taking the time !
It will be street driven with a couple track days a year is all.i had thought I'd be running dual pumps with a Hobbs for this set up as well. And the reason I was thinking in tank aet ups is because I street drive the truck. I thought an external pump would get too hot.its a 2008 silverado rcsb
I have google searched for months and am finally needing to buy it so I was wanted others opinions who have been there
