Default How much HP will ID1300 injectors support on E85?

Theres a set of new id1300’s for sale local and I’m trying to find out if they’ll work for me with room for growth. I see they have a calculator on their website but I feel like I’m using it wrong. My current build should be good for 1200hp but I’d prefer to buy injectors that have some room up top for growth or even just so they’re not running at max duty cycle. More info: I’m using dbrods cell and Holley rails. Plan on running the Holley 1800 pump, Holley reg and filters, -12 feed, and -8 return. Thanks in advance for the help.

They won't be big enough if you want to grow.

Assuming 58 psi of base fuel pressure 1300cc will support roughly 1150whp on E85. This at around 90% duty cycle.

If you want 1300-1400whp, then step it up to 1600cc.

Now if we switch this up to 1200hp at the crank and 1000ish at the tire you could likely get away with 1200cc injectors at 90% duty cycle. But again if you want even more power they will be pushing it. Injector calculators are pretty close to accurate but there are always some variables in engines/tuning etc etc.

Ok that makes sense, thanks for the explanation.

I have a Lsx tuning shop local to me that’s recommending I use those Bosch 210lb injectors VS racing sells on their website priced at $550. They say they have experience with them and they work great on the builds they’ve done. When I look at FI clinic ($1500) or ID($2300) it seems like the Bosch injectors aren’t even in the same ballpark on price.

Do you know anything about these or why they’re so cheap? I’m not willing to risk hurting my motor trying to save a buck on injectors but also $2300 for ID1700’s is a bit out of my budget.

Ive ran the Bosch 210 injectors from VS Racing in numerous applications and have never had a single issue. I highly recomend them.
