Amazing drawing skills. This is a quick thing I drew to help me understand how this is going to work. Might not make sense to anyone else but me.

So as I said, just crimp on a new pigtail, instead of paying $15 +shipping for an "adapter harness"

What are you referring to as the pig tail and where would I get one?

There customer service is not at all great... But there products are great good luck I almost waited close to a month of back an forth till I got the right product

That adapter harness was what I had to order too because my truck harness had already been converted to the new style. If you get that, it will plug right in.
