This is the hose (from Gates) that I've been using for a couple years without any troubles. Is it the same stuff that you're having problems with? If there's something better out there that's available, I'd like to switch. Post it up!

I bought three of the same ones as the one that failed in the pic in the first post, for my future system. I hope the guy that I sold them to uses fuel that doesn't have the ingredient that ruined mine.

I guess I should stop putting mothballs, acetone, xylene, toluene, and 104+ octane booster in my tank.

Seriously, I only ever used Chicago-area, 93 octane, pump gas.

What are you running for a pump? Is it just the pic, or is the connector & wire getting cooked?

I'll o out and look later. I've had two stock pumps in this bucket. It might be burnt, or it might be a MikeGyver heat shrink job,

Yesterday I actually did think that I might have burnt the insulation putting on some heat shrink tubing. When I looked today, I remembered splicing in a short length of wire with a new tab terminal. This was to repair a burnt terminal. I guess I will crimp and solder it this time.
Good catch, thanks.
