Fuel pump hose.

The fuel pump on my Tahoe stopped working. I had and I had purchased a Walbro gss340 to put in it for a turbo installation. I was wondering if this would be the proper fuel hose to connect to the pump!?

I ordered the 5/16 hose from performance engineering should be getting here tomorrow. So I decided to pull out the tank. Disconnecting the hoses in the front of the tank was such a sin in the ***. There's a black box next to the front of the tank that has a hose connected to the fuel tank it seems like I broke the nipple that hose connects to on the black box. What is that black box for?

The black box is the evap canister, basically traps all fuel vapors and pulls them into the engine. The nipple on the fuel pump module (tank side) or on the canister side? I broke off the vent nipple on my '04 fuel pump assembly cuz it was all rusted (top of the tank) so I just bought a new assembly for like $20 for the junkyard

The nipple on the canister. Dorman one from autozone is 200 wish I had time to scour junkyards for one. But I need to get the Tahoe up and running. The Delphi fuel pump module has only one spring in it is tha correct?

Got the hose delivered turns out the 5/16 was no good. 5/16 worked on the Walbro but not on the module. Good thing I also ordered the 3/8 that worked like a charm.
Hole I made at the bottom of the bucket.

I think I would have been better of with the hose cause I could have trimmed it a little shorter. Kids are home from school and my wife's working late so I have to quit for the day. I'll pick up the vapor canister in the morning. When they changed the square connector to the new plug on the harness to plug into the fuel pump they left the old square one exposed so it was all rusty so I'll also take that apart and clean up good

Got the pump and canister in on Friday. Started right up. Fuel filter started making like a rattling sound so I went to autozone and got a new one still makes the sound off and on. What would cause that? My check engine light also came on they scanned her at autozone and there's no codes. Also sometimes she'll start right up and sometimes I need to cycle the key twice but I've read this was common on aftermarket pumps
