Default Fuel Lines

The three Fuel Lines that run up on the Driver Side of the motor in my '03 GMC Sierra, just behind the motor that are made up of the Fuel Pressure, Fuel return and EVAP.

What size are the fuel lines? #6 or #8? I plan on running new lines and need to know what size SS braided line will I need to replace them.

Thanks

Chad

Feed is 3/8, return is 5/16, and not sure about the evap. -6AN for both, or -6AN for return and -8AN for feed would be more than adequate.

No real worries about the EVAP. was gonna put a small air filter on it somewhere near the tank or just cap it off.
I haven't looked yet but do the fuel lines have disconnects underneath the truck somewhere so I could put the quick disconnect adapter in it and run the braided line from there to my new Vic Jr set up?
Hard to explain but I'm talking about the disconnect where you slip in the tool and slide the sleeve back and push on the line and comes apart. I know there is one (or three) where the lines stick up from behind the motor but are any some where further back?
I would like to route those lines away from my exhaust.

Thanks

Yea, at the bucket on the tank...don't forget you will need a fuel filter if you replace the feed line.

New filter, got it! Not to mention a regulator on the return side.
How long do you think that is? I have the 8ft bed and 34 gallon tank. So I'm guessing an 18ft truck, maybe 10 per line? Plus a bunch of clamps!

I wouldn't buy any less than 15ft each. I would get 20ft for each line and youll have a little left over. Better to have a little extra than not enough.

One more question;

What's the best way to cut that hose? Tape it tight and cut in the center of the tape? I would also guess using a rotary cut off wheel and not a hack saw?

Why are you cutting it? You can just disconnect it from the bucket and leave it in there, or just pull the whole thing out as a whole...

What I mean is, when I disconnect it from the bucket, put the new fitting on and attach it to the bucket, I got 20 feet of hose and need to cut off the excess. Every time I cut the SS line it fray's and it's tough to get all of the strands back into the shell of the fitting to clamp it together. Thought you might have a trick for a cleaner cut with less fraying of the SS.

Thanks
