Default Fuel bucket venturi with return style system?

For those of you that have converted over to a return style fuel system, are you still using the venturi to help keep the bucket full? I had a shop convert my fuel system to a return style and they didn't re-use the venturi because they said my walbro 450 would over power it . Below 1/4 tank the regulator starts sounding like it has air bubbles in it and the fuel pressure drops off just a little. I was also told not to get on it really hard below 1/4 tank because the fuel slosh will cause the pump to cavitate. If I were to T-off into the venturi, would that cause my fuel pressure to drop off?

Yes I use it, what year is your bucket? I had to open up the hole in the Venturi as it was too small for the 450. Since opening up the hole it works just fine.

Mines a 2011 Flex fuel bucket. Not sure what you mean by opening the whole on the venturi. Mines has the black tube.

I am trying to decide how I need to do my fuel pump on my supercharged 2000 5.3 Silverado. It is a return style and my main goal is to not worry about losing fuel pressure under 1/2 tank or 1/4 tank of fuel.

Does your setup have this issue?

Why not just put holes in the bottom of the bucket and not worry about anything with the bucket being sucked dry?

Because when your tank is low on acceleration it can drain out as fast as it flowed in.

^^^Yes. And that is exactly what it WILL do. Especially in our large tanks, there's too much space for the fuel to wander off to

i mean you would have to be on almost E or under 1/4 of a tank for this to happen though? Mine did not have a venturi at the bottom so i added some extra holes in the bucket.
