E85 is it worth it or not??? HELP!!!!

It won't live long at 1000hp using 100% E85. I have a buddy here that has an 8 second turbo'd Lsx 3rd Gen. Lost a engine to "corn" before he got serious about checking specific gravity, and blending fuel... Believe what you want, but I'm not gonna put blind faith in that ****...
I don't trust SG sensors either. I see about 5-8 a day giving wrong readings in SCR tanks on the tractor models I specialize on at work. The old hydrometer is a must in my opinion at high HP levels.

I was going to go e85 in my procharged lt1 but decided not too. Only because the closest station with e85 is 35 miles or so. The guys I know that run e85 love it! The love the power increase and how cheap the stuff is compared to 3.89 for 93.

I run E50, so the mixture isn't as sensitive to fluctuations in alcohol content. Granted the power capability isn't as great as straight E85, but I haven't met the limit of E50 yet.

I guess that explains why its so expensive. Might have to snag one for the monte!
