dual pumps
#1
Doing some research on fuel pump setups for e85 and lsa blower. I am having pat g tune my truck, after speaking with him he suggested dual pumps over my suggested single walboro 450. They gave me a place to buy plug and play pump kits, has anyone ever heard or used hinson?

Huron Speed also makes a dual pump setup that will accommodate 450s or 525s.

Thanks for the other options. I didnt know about a couple. They all have the same concept with some minor differences for adapters, harness etc. I guess next thought is which is easiest to install when it comes to your wire harness?

Both of those and any other of that style with basically a pump(s) hanging on a rod without some sort of bucket will have an issue below 1/2 tank of fuel with starving the pumps. Highly recommend at least running hydromats on them and never running below 1/4 tank to avoid starving the pumps and running lean.
My surge tank is expensive, but is the only way short of running an external surge tank to prevent that issue with the stock tank. DW makes a nice external surge tank if you want to go that route and leave the stock tank alone.

Thats foam to keep it from sloshing as much but I am not sure how well it actually works. It typically needs to be replaced every couple of years as it breaks down and could clog filters and such. I am not a fan of it.

In your experience, how LONG have you found HydroMats to hold up ?
With a HYDROMat installed on pump inlet, can you NOT burn the last gallon out of a fuel tank, in "Economy Cruise- Try to make the next fuel station, stay out of boost " mode ?
