I just did some building on Nissan's and GMC's sites and you can get a higher optioned truck with a 6 speed manual in the Frontier and only a 5 speed manual in a Canyon at a mid grade level. After that, automatic only. If I was in the market i'd probably go with the Frontier as well.

I went into the dealership wanting a stick, however, after test driving both, the Auto felt quicker, even though it probably aint; since this will be my commuter and sitting in traffic everyday truck I opted for the Auto.
