Guys, its a 3.5L V6 in a full size 1/2 ton!!! Just what are you expecting?!?! 
It's impressive for what it is and that a MFG is stepping up to the plate with this TGI turbo technology. I wish GM would get on the ball with this kinda thing in more then just little cars like the Cruze and Sonic.

I'm not knocking the power or the effort from Fors for putting it on the market. Those engines make great power for sure. A friend at work has one and it's a very nice truck. More boost whistle and less V6 exhaust rasp would be a great thing though.

It's actually a 3.5 liter, (just saying) and my extended cab 4x4 runs mid 14's BONE STOCK, my Silverado 5.3 RCBS ran high 16's stock... The boost will tow 11,000 lbs. and makes wicked MPG. I just got back today from Buena Vista, CO and it made 21.3 mpg on cruise at 80, with my 500 lbs Polaris in my avatar in the back along with my family and all our bags fishing and camping gear. My best friend drove his 01 Z71 5.3 and it made just under 16mpg with his 230 lbs. dirt bike and comparable gear. I like that its quiet, doesn't scare off every animal with in 4 miles when I go hunting like my other truck, LOL!
They both climbed 277 to get to the prime fishing spots.
The Ecoboost made WAY more power at 10,000 feet, then any NA truck I've ever taken to the mountains.
His Z71 is on 285's and my Boost in on stock 235's (for now), I did a little more frame scraping them him but when I put new tires on after the factory turds wear out, it won't be in issue.
If I have alittle more tire I would have tried China man's Gulch in the boost.
This was at 4 mile off Co 301.
I had a GREAT weekend by the way...
I love mine, Ford hit a HOME RUN! Everyone that I've heard say they weren't fast enough has test drove the heaviest model they make... It's not a Lightning by any means but truck for truck you put it up against any of the other comparable models and it waxes ***.The only truck I've raced that was even close to keeping up, has been my little brother's Tundra. I'm not saying its everybody's cup of tea, but its a damn good one... You can pick up 90+ RWHP with a TUNE!!! What else can you say that about?

Here is our trip from around Tyler Texas to Oklahoma City, OK. Truck did great and was super comfortable. Mostly highway averaging 70-75 and then a little in town for lunch. Our Avalanche never got better than mid 18's stock (rare 55mpg flat places) and after the procharger around 16.5-17 on the same trip.
As for the power or speed it is very deceptive with the way it produces power, there isn't a high end rush like a GM LS motor. Its most like diesel where it just goes and when you look down you are surprised its going that fast as you didn't feel it get there. With my Avalanche after the SC it was more of a top end hurried rush as opposed to a flat trq consistent push. I waited 3 years for GM to get off their *** and produce the smaller duramax in the 1/2 tons but gave up.

My buddy that owns MoFab Fabrications just bought one, he has done a custom stainless 3" exhaust on it with a single stainless vibrant performance muffler and custom aluminum intake pipes with aem dry flow filters, neat truck for what it is. We left the shop at the same time the other night and i pulled 2 cars on him with my lightly modded 98 regal GS, wasn't to impressed with the power... they seem to pull real hard down low and then just plane out up top. Like i said though nice for what it is... killer towing ability and the gas mileage has to be nice!

Not making this a pissing war or implying anything, it was just a fun race... It has a cold air intake and full 3" exhaust with a magnaflow, they come supercharged but i have not upped the boost yet... not sure on weight but not real light, its fully loaded with a system... id say 3500-4000 lbs?

Me either, just wondering. My Uncle has a Monte SS with a 3800 super charged with a pulley and exhaust, and I wouldn't think I could take him in my Boost. I would have to say his car is much lighter then 4000 though. maybe 3600... I know a fella here where I live that has a Super charged Pontiac Bonneville down into 14.teens. Best I've seen mine do was a 14.66 @ 96. I'm thinking about feeding it a 75 shot just once and see what she will do... I'm not trying to make a racer out of it, that is the Silverado's job. But for a everyday driving, working, and hunting rig I don't have a single complaint.
