I know it will take some work but i have a 99 ford f150 5speed with a 4.6 and i want to break fourteens all motor. I plan on spraying later on but not until i break fourteens. Not too many people have done it but i want to be one of them. There is a guy on f150 online that has a 4.6 5speed and run 14.8's. I plan on most bolt ons and an excalibur2 tune and maybe heads and a cam but not quite sure just needing a little advice

Have you considered a motor swap to larger cubes? This is same concept the the GM4.8's have. While the r/c can do it, the e/c have a hard time. I have accompliched 14.97 on motor, but that wass all the boltons, a 3400 stall converter and a lot of wieght reduction. As for your 5 speed, a lot would depend on how you shift. Also some sticky tires.

they offer a lot of accessories for these fords that can help. what does it run now. what mods does it have. i do know there is a white one at the track here in baytown that is a 4.6 with the spray and that sucker runs 14's. i think it is actually a little quicker now.

i have a ford king ranch 5.4. I raced this other ford with a 5.4 and left him like a truck behind. Today i raced some 4.6 that had some mufflers, a k&n intake, and it was a extended cab. My truck is a supercrew is plain stock and i beat him of the launch and was leaving him beahind nasty. Is that how al 4.6 are or did that one had something wrong with it.
