Default F-150 MAF Replacement

Hey guys,

I've got a buddy who needs a new MAF installed on his (somewhere between 97' and 99') V8 F-150. I looked at it today and got confused. On the Chevrolet trucks, the sensor is located right in the iddle of the intake system (between the box and the hose), and is held on by two clamps (one on each side). However, on the F-150, that isn't the case. Is it somewhere else in the system? I have heard that it is in the air box??? HELP!!!
