I just got a free turbo off a 14.1 liter cummins I6 from a crane. Still good from what i know off. My question is it worth the time to fab a STS style turbo kit out of this turbo for my truck? dont know much about it yet. will do some messuring soon. It looks to have a 2" outlet on the intake side of it. 4" that went to a 5 1/2 induction tube. It say I64 on the one side of it. Wonder if its big enough? If it is what tubing size should I run to a intercooler? 2.5"? Im new with this FI stuff, just seems like a fun project to do.
any input on this would be great
thanks

Is this the turbo? http://www.max-boost.co.uk/max-boost.../big_turbo.jpg
But I don't know about your situation... could be worth the effort, but I have not heard of heavy equipment diesel turbos being used on SB V8's. If the turbo is the right size, I don't see why it wouldn't work.
