what do i need to do to my 2000 5.3l to run a whipple supercharger

Not much. I'm running a whipple on my basically stock 2003 5.3l Z71 Tahoe.

ya but i was told to get it to run right i need to do alot of **** like new pistons and drivetrain.

No, your 5.3 will very likely handle the Whipple without any modifications at all. I've had two. You can upgrade some stuff, but that isn't really necessary to run the blower. There certainly isn't any need to do anything that requires pulling the motor. You should however do a couple of minor upgrades to your fuel system and get it tuned properly to maximize your gains.

Just buy a whipple and go. Heck, you can buy mine if you want.

lol cool. well im probly goin to pull the motor and replace something anyways it got a 171,000 right now. how much do u want for urs

If you are going to pull the motor, I would just look for a low mile stock 6 liter to replace it with. Add a camshaft, valve springs, and a torque converter at the same time. You'll have less trouble, less money invested, and probably be able to put another 100000 miles on it.
