Whipple side mount on a GMT900?
#1
Hi guys!
I've got a cammed LY6 in my 2008 suburban and im thinking about supercharging it.
I've seen quite a few used side mount whipple superchargers selling for a fraction of what the more modern TVS, etc sell for. They seem to be for gen III motors but seeing as how its a side mount I'm not sure how port style would matter. Is there something else I'm missing?
I know the more modern units will br far superior but the truck is just a daily driver and I'm not looking for super fast. Just a bit more punch under the curve is what I'm looking for, if I can realistically save a couple grand ill do it.
Is it possible to make the side mount work with my application?
Ps. please excuse my ignorance I'm new to these engines.
