Hopefully Whipple is taking some manufacturing cues from Autorotor, the Autorotor units would be much more expensive, but the quality is better. I wonder if the new Whiple scvrewchargers will be taking teh less expensive lwer quality road or the more expensive premium quality road??

We will have to see I guess.

Judging by what was said on a couple of other forums it seems they will be taking some tech from the autorotor design and improving upon it and taking the quality route but we will see once they hit the market and I see some numbers from someone outside of Whipple.

Thanks Grippy Ill have to check that out. So from what I have gathered Whipple was ahving problems with their supplier Lysholm so they decided to make their own design since the patent ran out but they are going to incorporate some of the good things from the autorotor design and build it with close tolerances, make a larger charger(3.3 and 5L's) and a better bearing design correct? I sure hope the new chargers are everything they are being talked up to be. Just wish we could find out if they are going to intercooled.

90mm tb and 10 rib setup too

Brian magnacharger better step up their game and get the new radix out soon

This kit isnt going to be as complete as teh radix though looks like you will have to piece together your own kit and Whipple's customer service is less than stellar but I dont need all that just the blower
Look at that intercooler

That kit is designed for a sandrail and they don't seem interested in selling them for a street application. The kit comes with no electronics or injectors and the 10rib belt setup is about $1000 extra.I never could even get an answer what actually comes with the kit.Starrperformance does a 3.3 liter kit in Austrailia for about $16000 AUD,that looks like it could be adapted.

Got an email back from them yesterday but didnt know it. They said basically what you said Whitt. It could be used on a truck I believe. I may have to notch the wiper cowl a little bit but thats not that big a deal and thorw a cowl hood on top of it. The 10 rib setup is expensive that would be something I would do later on once I got it in and working. Honestly though how many of use really need the electronics and all that everyone ends up going with a custom tune and all that. With a blower that big and the boost I want to run it would ahve to be SD tuned anyway. Injectors arent that big a deal some 60 pounders can be had for 500 or so.

This may be a little off topic, but I thought Eaton bought part or all of Lysholm?

I'm really surprised whipple is doing this on their own. I had no idea they had the in-house resourses, knowledge and staff to get this done. I bet they contract a lot out.
