Whipple EGT sensor?
I have a old whipple kit on my truck. It is the 2-belt set-up with whipple computer, two injectors, & two egt sensors. A few days ago I started getting a code (26) flashing from the MIL light. A 26 code is suppost to be a failure or not connected driver side egt sensor. Called whipple and was told by them they haven't used egt sensors in years & to just by pass the sensor by installing a 220-260 ohm resistor at the whipple computer leads for the egt sensor. I dont like by-passing safety features & was hoping someone knows what type of egt sensors that I have so I can get a replacement for them from someone else. Are the egt sensors RTD's or thermocouple's? And what range are they?

I don't understand why you have all of the Whipple controls and a Nelson tune, unless you have disconnected the Whippletronics from the bypass. Without an intercooler I can see the advantage of the auxiliary injectors, but you don't need the safeties in the Whipple computer. The knock retard built into the OEM ECM is sufficient to protect the engine.
I have to assume that Allen told you all of this already.
