Default Whipple 2.9 On 6.2??

Guys just picked up a brand new 2011 cts-v and looking to upgrade the blower on it. Whipple is releasing a 2.9 for the car which I put money on and they will have the kit ready in about 1 month.

Im wondering if anyone here has a 2.9 on their trucks or friends with the 2.9L. Ive always used a magnacharger set up with great results just want to be sure the whipple blower is a good blower also

Thought you were getting a Z06? I'm looking forward to seeing the results of this blower on the V...

My wife and I have a 09' V and we both love it!!

Whipple does not do the 2.9 for the trucks. They will sale a tuner kit, but would not promise the belt, wrap, and spacing would be the same.
2.3 the have.

WE are wrapping up a 3.4L (upgradable to 4.0). should be interesting.

Not an apples to apples comparison but I have the KB 2.8 (similar displacement and design) on a 370 and have been happy with it for the most part. There are lots of happy customers with the new LC2.8 on the 5th gen Camaros. I would not hesitate to use a Whipple 2.9L compressor on a 6.2L as long as there were not any major design flaws in the application. Is the kit for the CTS-V a front or rear inlet design?

Why not the jackshaft magnacharger? You know Joe won't be happy if you put the whipple on and not the magnacharger....

im trying to go big on this set up. If magnacharger had a 2.8 or bigger id do it.

the set up is a front inlet design looks the same as the 2.9L camaro kits.
