The Whip

Before Whipple = 262/308
After Whipple/A2W intercooler = 422/517.......all #'s are rear wheel on a Mustang Dyno.
I have not had it on the Dyno since i put the 60's and Corsa exhaust on though, so I am hoping for more. It weighs 7000+lbs and runs mid to low 13's in the 1/4.
Not bad for a Whipple IMHO. I also think something else was going on with your rig there TEX to only see a 10/75 gain.

I ran a whipple on my stock 5.3 Z71 Tahoe for a while. No other mods except the tune. Low end torque was greatly increased, as was throttle response. Upper end power was not much improved however. I was a little disappointed in the power output of the whipple after having a Radix on my truck. It made a nice addition to a heavy vehicle though, especially a daily driver in traffic. The part throttle / low end torque is nice.
I seem to remember you complaining about how your's ran pre-intercooler.

.Im not a Whipple spokes person by any means.....just saying with the right combo of parts its not to bad of a thing.

That's my point. I am not sure that I was doing any better than that with the Whippletronics or even after they were removed. It felt quite a bit torquier, and I was never sure that it had much more top-end than stock. I never had it dyno'd, did you have yours dyno'd pre-intercooler?

Yea, I am not very inpressed with mine right now. Did not make as much notice as I expected for it saying it makes 7.5 lbs. It is leaking oil from down inside the pulley shaft. I just pulled the pulley shaft off and there is a small pin hole from the inside of the case on the shaft to inside the shaft where the nut goes down inside to hold it on. Is this vent hole suppose to be here? Mine has the dip stick built on the fill plug (old style i guess). Do I check the oil by just setting the dip stick in or do I thread it all the way down?

Yea man, I saw your truck up there, nice set up, that is who did mine. I love the tune and driveability but something just isnt there with the whip.
