I think the IW balancer has a key way already. My Eagle crank does not. I was going to pin it by drilling and installing dowels. Is one way better than the other? I assume a machine shop would be needed to cut the crank and can they even do that as the short block is 90% assembled?

If the crank is still out of the block, it's doable. But if it's already together, then you'll have to resort to plan "B".

Plan B it is! I still have the parts from my Magnacharger pin kit except for the dowels. Anybody know the measurements of those little things? I want to say 1/8" diameter by 1/4" long, but I could be way off...

Your gonna need IW's pin kit. The way there balancer is made it needs a longer guide to get down to the crank. You will also need their bolt to. It's a couple inch's longer then a stock crank bolt, but reusable.

I was thinking that after looking at their pin kit just now. It's way different than the Maggie kit. I didn't know about the bolt though. I guess this ARP crank bolt I bought is going up for sale later...
Thanks KB!

I know I ask a lot of questions on here but I'm one of those people that when I am working on a project and I come across something that I don't have and then I have to order and wait a week for it to get here, I get super pissed I hate having to stop a project because I didnt do my homework.

My 3.1" pulley is pushing 12psi on my 6.0L. No sign of belt slip. I'd sure put it together with what you have now before dumping $ into more ribs (no matter the pleasure). With your cubes, heads, cam, etc, I'm thinking you're not going to see much over 10psi without spinning the snot out of your TVS. At some point, spinning the blower faster won't get you much. If you do see 10+psi, you're going to need to get ready to fix lots of chit.

If you didn't get the bolt with that balancer you bought, you need to get in touch with Innovator's West about the bolt. I think there's a teflon spacer that goes in there, somewhere, too.

I sent them an email about the bolt and pin kit. We will see how many weeks before they return with an answer...
