Who doesn't like the sound of a supercharger? REALLY!!

If I was guessing a turbo will be just as loud possibly even louder.

yes I have a T60 .96 ar it spooled very nice and super quick. I got greedy and swapped to a T70, not bad spool still. Unfortunately I got excited and pulled the 60 off before I got the tune complete but it seemed like it was going to be alot of fun on the front mount. I still have it but will probably stick with the 70 atleast for now. It was an instant spool to 8 psi lots of torque it might even be worse on the tranny than the slower spooling larger turbo, just a thought...

I had a rear mount garrett 60mm and for towing with the converter locked up it would get full boost at 1600rpms. Pulled hills great with a heavy load. but a off idle punch it would be 3000-3500 before i got good boost and pulled good.

If it was on a front mount it would have been ever better.

Yea, I like the idea of a 60 just to run around 6lbs or so, only want to see around 5500 rpm max anyway, As for the supercharger sound yes i loved the whine, I had the sidemount old school one's and the chargers themselves were noisy and I didn't care for it much, I since have sold that and want to build my own system, would a 60 with a .96 ar be too slow to spool or would it still do nicely since I have a crew cab 4x4 lt fully loaded so it plenty heavy plus i have 22's on it that are a little heavier than stock so it should load up quickly.

Thanks for info guys!

Magnacharger has came out with 2 newer models since the mp90 btw. I would get 70mm with a .8x exhaust housing if you go turbo though. Plan on upgrading your transmission too.

YEah I know, I'm trying to avoid that, I was trying to buy a 60mm to enjoy the quick responsiveness, and not push insane power, like i stated around 6lbs or so, that would get up and go nice, i can still shift in the 5500rpm or a little less rpm band and be spooled up around 2500. i figured the 70 would be too large so i am looking toward a 60/62 possibly 67.

I have a lead on a 60 with a .96 a/r so i'm trying to get some perspective on what that will act like in my truck. with only 6lbs or so.

It will be fine. Exhaust housing are cheap if you want to play with spool time.
Which wheel in the exhaust side?

Upgrading your transmission is inevitable with a turbo setup. Even with your current upgrades I give it about 2 months.
