Default What/Will a cam work with N/A and later turbo 4-6psi?

Is there a certain grind that will give a lot of tq in N/A 5.3L and later turbo boost around 4-6psi?

I want as much low end tq as possible I don't really care about peak hp seeing as im never over 3000-4000 rpms

I know for N/A 210-218 114 from vinci gives a ton of tq also 212-218 114 comp

Do I need a inter cooler for sts 4-6psi right away or can it wait a while?

Will my new stock gm fuel pump work with proper dyno tuning?

What are you doing with your truck that you are only at a max of 4k rpms? What year is your truck? You might as well do the intercooler from the start while you are running the tubing all the way from the back of the truck.

Trying to keep my foot out of it lol. I mainly drive in town so I cant really get on it above 4000rpm with out risking a ticket! But I sure do love the tq getting me to 45-70mph.

2000 5.3L EC/ LT, efans, UDP, CAI, TB spacer, PPTB, EFI dyno tune
It made 274whp & 342wtq on 20's

I want more tq lol but the little 5.3L can only produce so much N/A

Get someone to spec you out a custom cam that would work good for turbo later on and still work fine N/A for now.

I know more people lately are using the single pattern cams for the turbo kits from say KB racing or Trick performance. Try to PM stock48 and see if he will spec you out a cam for your needs.

I would leave the cam stock....maybe GM's 1.8 rocker arm kit, but that's it if you don't get it over 4k and only want 6psi.

I just don't understand not wanting to go over 3000-4000 rpms. If you get a turbo kit you will take it over that rpm range every day lol.. It's going to be hard not being able to keep your foot out of it lol.

If you are real worried about tickets, then I suggest just keeping the truck stock for now. Just being honest, I don't want you to spend all that money and not take use of all the mods done to it. It just doesn't make sense to me. You do what you want though.

Stock fuel pump will work just fine for that, I am running 7psi and using 57lb injectors with ported ls3 throttle body with stock fuel pump and putting down 422rwhp without problems, going to put cam in soon and bump up to 10psi so we will see if it still holds up then

you have a flex truck, thats why you can use your stock fuel pump.. a 2000 doesn't have that pump.

I would look into a triple 12 from stock48
