Default wastegate valve seat

I have a TIAL 38 mm wastegate. I was finishing up my exhaust and this is vented to atmosphere. I checked and it is exhausting even at idle. I took it apart to make sure nothing is obvious and could see all the way around the valve and the body. Now looking at their website I saw there is a replacement seat. It looks like mine must not have this since there is clearance around the valve and body?
I bought this used and seemes to work with that exception. I dont know how it comes out? I guess does the valve come out? I took it apart to see what color spring was in there but sure didnt think anything fell out. Could this happen?
Thanks
Dave

The seat is loose and just rests in place. On the gates I have here there is a recess groove on the gates body. The seat sets in this groove. And it does not sit flat until you bolt it up into place.
Not sure the Tials are like all the others JGS, Precision etc...

Hope this helps.

Ah, thanks Rick. Does this just go in from the "outside" if so I assume they can fall out? Maybe I dropped it when I was putting this together or apart. I will look in my shop but I also saw from older posts the removing of it was a fix for freezing valves maybe mine was removed for this. I am not sure. I did see I can order a new one if I cant find mine.

This, it just sits between your crossover and the gate in the recess.

Oh yea, small metal ring, (seat) can fall out very easily. When installing it, or taking out of a box.
Held in place by the clamping force once installed.
