Default Wastegate? on Trick hotpipes

I got a 5.3 with trick hot pipes, eBay gt45 and a tial 38mm wastegate with 8-9 psi spring in crossover pipe. I'm upgrading to a pt7675 and want to run the same 8-9 psi of boost. Original gate placement vented to atmosphere but I routed it back into exhaust.

Does anyone think I'll have any boost creep with the size or placement of gate?

Start off with a lower psi spring.

Did not **** my pipes fit the gt45 turbo?

We run the precision gates with larger exhaust wheels in the current location. Vented back into downpipe. With no issues.

the GT45 is usually just a divided T4 turbine housing,, they weigh about 35lbs though

The down mounting area I thought was in a different location then the standard t4 stuff we do.

Yeah, gt45 fit no problem. Just had to weld a new v band flange onto the 3" v band on down pipe. Also had to move coolant tank.

Gt45 has a pretty big turbine already (77ex/87.4ind, 1.05a/r) and tial 38mm holds 8-9 psi fine. Pt7675cea on a .96a/r may be a tad smaller on the turbine but kind of worry about boost creep probably because the 76cea compressor wheel flows a lot more. Am I just being a worry wart?

Hey Rick, which precision gate do you use? 46mm?

We stock the 39 and the 46.
Use a couple of 66's on some large kits that used a 88/91 t5 precision billet wheel.
The small wheel will slightly more bp if any. Just remember the springs settings on paper are just base line. So if you install a 3 lb spring and get a steady 5. Then in your set up its a 5lb spring.

I Got a precision 46 gate on the way. Just wanted some ideas and pics of wastegate locations of those with trick/kb racing hot pipes and big turbos.

I saw a pic of foose04's gate on his crossover, which is an option. Pretty much just venting the driver side bank but then again he runs high psi. Just wanting to stay 8-9 psi range for now. Thought about putting it on the log, right on the 90 going to turbo. But damn that's a tight fit. If someone has done it I would love to see a pic of that.

I put mine from the crossover pipe to the exhaust after the down pipe. It came out like I wanted it. I will be starting it for the first time very soon.

Is that a 46mm gate? How much boost do you plan to run? Looks really clean and looks like some other guys are doing the same thing on the crossover. Please keep us updated after start up.

Leave in crossover and star with the lower psi spring.
We have them there running even larger wheels then you listed.
Question why'd you change was there a problem with the 38?
Also how much you pay for that gAte?
