Inststalled the new meth controller this afternoon! I haven't been in boost since the 18th of Nov., and had almost forgotten how good it feels to chirp tires at 50mph.

Unfortunately the moment lasted about 15 minutes before losing the meth again!! The indicator doesn't light and it goes way lean as I go into boost.

I know we'll get this all figured out, it's not that big an issue comparitively speaking, but it's still frustrating having to drive my truck like a Volvo.

 

So it worked and then quit? Was the tank empty that quick or was it a wiring issue?

 

I don't know. I'll check the wiring ( or what I can see of it ) in the morning. I dont use a lot of meth and the tank was full it just stopped working.

 

Hopefully you'll just find the pump ground loose or something simple. If it worked at first, then it shouldn't be a hardware issue. I think you'll solve it fairly easily.

 

i am not sure i am following the problem, but check all connections. Remember, it's an electrical switch...no load...then load. So if you have a weak connection it can break once load hits it. After that, tuning in meth with 2bar isn't as easy as just hooking it all up IMO, if getting the meth 'delay" to work into your tune is a concern. BUT ofcourse, you have a pretty decent tuner to the say the least. LOL

Damn sorry to hear about that, Make sure the third ground wire at the pump plug is grounded good... But then again, if the light doesn't even come on.... get the test light out.......

 

Test button functions. Something screwy going on. Seems like my wide band is wacky too. Problems started after dual exhaust swap but I cant think of how one could affect the other?

 

Sorry to hear about your problems Bill. I know how frustrating things can get. At least it just a controller/wiring issue and not something serious mechanically. I am sure that Rick/Julio will be able to find out the problem and get you on the road to lower in the 12's.

Is meth the only way you can make boost???? What are your fuel upgrades???? I would suggest upgrading that fuel system to allow you to run boost all the time.

On another note. Did you run a check valve on your kit??? I was having a problem with getting the meth to flow fast enough when running 18+lbs.
