I don't think there is enough meat there to mill enough of an angle to help, but you are on to something.
Maybe just angled extensions or a angled plate to push them out and down some? It would not be to hard for an average machinist to build them from a billet of steel. Better than fabbing up a bunch of pipes and crap only to have the worry of them cracking from heat.

I'm sorry but isn't it easier to make your own headers or to fit your individual setup? I am not a big fan of manifolds, just me i guess. I would much rather have a set of ceramic coated headers to the twins that are matched for flow or close enough.

Kurt is running that in his truck on a single setup. It has certainly run the number to prove that it works well.

i would go with the stock manifolds in a heartbeat if they fit like i wanted. they are a good design, better than the log i built for myslef and they have the ultimiate in durability. durability is a prety big issue with a turbo header.

It would work great without power steering and no A/C. But that would be more for drag set up.

Is W2W selling their kit over the counter? Last I knew they were not. That new front mount kit shown above is a big departure from what they had showcased before in Will Handzel's book... looks good.

Forgive my ignorance, but who is Kurt, and what numbers has it run?

kurt urban is the owner of w2w. he prety much has unlimited resources at his disposal and he chooses to use stock 6.0 manifolds on many of his set ups. i got a chance to talk to him at drag week last year and pump gas drags this year. he is a super nice guy, not secretive about what they do and knows as much about turbos and gen 3 motors and anyone out there.

he has numbers on that truck but i dont remember what they are. he is all about making things last for a long time. since cmotorsports closed their doors and i lost my good deals on motor work i will probably be calling up kurt the next time i need some motor work.
