Ok got started on the install today. So far everything went well besides getting the nuts off the drivers side manifold to y-pipe, had to heat em with a torch and use an impact. Got the exaust manifold bolted up and and cross over pipe bolted all together. Man did this **** bolt up smooth!! All connections so far were dead on! Well I decided to be a lazy *** and drill the pan on the truck. Its a very tight fit getting in there even with a Right angle drill and really short bit, but got it done and tapped for the oil return line. Sorry I havent got any pics of it yet but will definately have some before the install is finished and alot of the final product. I should have it finished up by tomorrow night or the next day. I am so pumped up to drive this thing!!

See, I told ya that oil pan is a bitch to get out in a 4x4. Sound like everything is going good! You need any help with anything, let me know I think I'm only a couple hours north of you in WY.

Glad you like the fits so far. Looking forward to seeing your pics of the complete install, and see how that turbo spools and boosts and hi altitude.

I'll admit you were right I could have pulled the pan but just wasn't that motivated.

What you going do to clean out the metal shavings from drilling it on the truck?
I have always wondered if ppl do it that way or pull it off.

If you use lots of grease on the drill bit and tap and clean and regrease often it will "catch" almost all the chips and partials. Anything that might get into the pan will be caught by the pickup screen and or the oil filter. An oil change shorly after and pretty much anything that might have gotten in there will be flushed out.

after drilling and tapping the hole, sprayed some brake clean in there to wash it out.

to get caught by the filter means it went throu the oil pump.

To get thought the pickup screen means it probably not big enough to do anything to the oil pump
